How Leaders Make Change Happen

A Leader Development Program Delivered by

Chambers Bay Institute & Chart Your Course International

Chambers Bay Institute, partnering with the top leader development and change management expert Chart Your Course International, recently delivered a powerful workshop for the senior leadership team of the Housing Authority of Dekalb County (HADC), Atlanta, GA. Together, Jim Solomon, CEO, Chambers Bay Institute and Greg Smith, President, Chart Your Course International, facilitated a deep dive discussion and action learning session focused on “How Leaders Make Change Happen”. The key to this was helping this seasoned team to Learn to See in New Ways and understanding Why We Need Integrator Leaders.

Interactive Virtual Workshop

This interactive leader development workshop introduced participants to the role of the Integrator Leader – those who possess the unique ability to see what isn’t there, channeling the collective energy of others to make their vision a reality. Jim and Greg presented usable principles, practices, and tips, with vivid examples and table-top exercises, enabling participants to turn the information into usable action as a valued takeaway.
Departing, the HADC leaders indicated that they felt prepared to stop reacting to change, now better positioned to create it. Each was motivated to practice seeing things through the lens of their customers, their organization, and their team to achieve their desired outcomes.

Housing Authority – Beyond Housing

HADC is a committed partner in the community’s effort to revitalize neighborhoods and foster economic development, as well as to provide quality, affordable housing. Although affordable housing is its primary mission, they operate with the understanding that housing cannot function in an environment that is not viable, nor can those they serve to reach their full potential, if its community’s economic condition does not continue to improve.
Housing Choice Voucher Program, Veterans housing assistance, resident support services, and multi-family tax-exempt bonds are some of the programs administered by the Authority.

Investment In Leaders

The senior leaders of the HADC clearly understand that learning is a life-long journey. They recognize that their regular investment in developing their leaders yields a great bounty with a positive impact to their team, their organization, and ultimately to their customers.
