Integrator Leaders believe they exist to help their team succeed. They serve as mentors and coaches, helping their people to learn, grow, and achieve their personal best. By sharing your time to listen, ask questions, and challenge thoughts or ideas, you demonstrate that you care. Make introductions and help with networking. Share about books, podcasts, or your other sources of insight. As a leader, you are responsible for developing the next generation of leaders.
Action Steps As a Coach or Mentor:
- Suggest readings such as the book Seeing What Isn’t There – A Leader’s Guide to Creating Change in a Complex World, and then ask your mentee questions to challenge them to read critically.
- Organize “brown bag” lunch & learns (on-site or virtual) as a way to stay in touch.
- Invite your mentee to accompany you to a meeting that they wouldn’t normally have access to, as a learning and networking opportunity.
- Help your mentee to “see in new ways” with an understanding of the Change Integrator© model and by following the Principles of the Integrator Leader.
